Thanks Ellen, sorry to hear about the problem with your neighbor. You can always lobby your local government to institute new rules regarding fireplaces. We have rules in Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley now that forbid using fireplaces when the inversion layer is low and the smoke will tend to linger in the air.
